Inartio.com went from Monet to Warhol

Saturday, January 3, 2026

Today, the inArtio team had the pleasure of visiting the exceptional exhibition “From Monet to Warhol: Three Generations, One Collection, A Journey Through the Evolution of Modern Art” at the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation Museum in Athens.

This major retrospective presents 83 masterpieces by 45 leading international artists in a panoramic exploration of modern and contemporary art. The show takes visitors on a sweeping visual journey from the Impressionist innovations of Claude Monet — including his iconic Water Lilies — through pivotal artistic currents, culminating in the bold spirit of Pop Art and works by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein.

For the inArtio team, the experience was creatively invigorating. The exhibition beautifully illustrates how artists across generations shook up conventions, expanded the boundaries of expression, and reshaped the visual language of their times. We were struck by the way visual ideas evolve — from the atmospheric light and color explorations of Monet to the playful, media-savvy world of Warhol and his contemporaries — inviting us to reconsider how art reflects the cultural and social landscapes of its age.

Leaving the museum, we took with us not just images and impressions, but fresh artistic insights — exactly the kind of inspiration that fuels inArtio’s mission. We continue to celebrate and support artistic expression that bridges tradition with innovation, honoring the legacy of art’s pioneers while looking forward to its future possibilities.
